Kevin O'Brien Obituary
Kevin Alan O'Brien, "Kevi"/"Sunshine," 25, of Edgewater, died June 29 from an Act of Nature.
Born December 24, 1986 in Annapolis, he was a 2004 graduate of South River High School, and attended Anne Arundel Community College. Kevin was employed as a Bank Teller Supervisor at the Central Avenue-Edgewater Branch of BB&T Bank. He was very proud of his weight loss, being a member of the Annapolis Striders, and running his first marathon in 2011. Kevin enjoyed going to the gym, traveling, movies, Disney and loved spending time with his sister, friends and family.
He is survived by his parents, Keith and Lorrie O'Brien of Edgewater; a sister, Hannah O'Brien of Edgewater; grandparents, Bob and Lorraine Cole of Frederick and Clark and Geraldine O'Brien of Annapolis; three aunts, Lisa Dimmick of Frederick, Sherry Newsome of Annapolis and Dawn O'Brien of Annapolis; one uncle, Tim Cole of Frederick; and is also survived by many cousins.
Friends are invited to Kevin's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, at Chesapeake Christian Fellowship, 377 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers. contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Maryland, 10626 York Road, Suite A, Cockeysville, MD 21030.

Kevin....I just can't get over this,I want to believe it isn't real,and that I will be in Edgewater and run into you. But unfortunately God always calls his best Angels home earlier than we expect. My Dearest Kevin, I don't even know where to begin to tell you how wonderful and proud of you I am. You were a ray of Sunshine wherever you went. You lit up the room with your positive attitude and that beautiful smile:) I know you are in Heaven watching over all of us, just please keep an eye over your Dad, Mom and Hannah. Also, over MeeMom and Pop O'
Brien. You know you were their life and such a special Grandson to them!!!! Not to mention what a wonderful nephew you were to me and I was so proud to let everyone know that I was your Aunt Dawnie (and will continue to do so)! Words can not express my heart felt sympathy that I send your way. I still remember Kevin's smiling face and helpful nature at the Cable Company when I work there. He was a good kid that grew into a wonderful man. May God Keep you and your family.
