George Justice Obituary

George William "Billy" Justice, 76, of Annapolis and formerly of Crisfield, died February 5 at South River Health and Rehabilitation in Edgewater. Born in Crisfield on June 21, 1936, he was a son of the late Adolph Q. and Martha Tawes Justice. He was a retired sales representative for Waterford Crystal, and formerly for Towle. A veteran of the National Guard, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crisfield, College Park way Baptist Church in Arnold, and was a former member and officer of the Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044. In his younger years, Billy was a talented athlete, playing football, basketball, baseball and softball. He also enjoyed golfing, deep sea fishing, and traveling. He was a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren, and was especially devoted to his granddaughter, Shelby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert J. Justice in 1946. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris A. Stant Justice of Annapolis; three children, Elizabeth Tribull and husband, Ed, of Annapolis, Michael Justice and wife, Jenna, of Baltimore, and Wendy Bankert and husband, Randy, of Gettysburg, PA; two sisters, Diane Chaffey and husband, Billy, of Marion, and Mary Ann Sterling and husband, Earl, of Crisfield; seven grandchildren, Shelby, Jenna and Jacob Tribull, Cordelia and David Justice, and Eric and Ava Bankert; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield, where a viewing will be held one hour prior. Pastor Wardie Holland will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 1 S. Somerset Avenue, Crisfield, MD 21817.
