Margaret Teixeira

Margaret Ann Teixeira, 65, of Severna Park died on December 2, 2015 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born on June 20, 1950 to the late Charles Canterna and Margaret Quinio in Natrona Heights, PA. Margaret attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and went on to get her Masters in Counseling from Bowie State University. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Tex, as well as her two children Elizabeth Ann Durastanti (Nick) of Severna Park, and Mark Charles Teixeira (Georgia Leigh) of Greenwich, CT. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Jack, Addison, Anna Margaret, William, Joe and Nicholas; three brothers, Fr. Charles Canterna of Baltimore, John Canterna (Sally) of Linthicum, and twin Don Canterna (Cathy) of Bonita Springs, FL; three sisters, Kathy Vartenisian (John) of Greensboro, NC, Julia Canterna of Lewes, DE, and Isabel Oltman (Charlie) of Phoenix, AZ. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Gainor (survived by David Gainor). Margaret was a 37 year resident of Severna Park. She was a loving mother, a Nana to her six grandchildren and an active member of Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church. Friends and Family may visit on Sunday, December, 6, 2015 from 2:00- 4:00 and 6:00- 8:00 PM at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home at 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. A mass will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church 1070 Cecil Avenue Millersville, MD 21108.
