Elizabeth Catherine Ward, 93, of Westminster and formerly of Glen Burnie, died April 28 at Westminster Ridge Assisted Living. Born December 24, 1920 in Connellsville, PA to the late James L. and Josephine Auer Edenbo, Elizabeth was a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Arundel Chapter #80 and was the Worthy Matron from 1984 to 1986. She also enjoyed vegetable gardening and sewing. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husbands, Francis Ray Thomas, who died in May of 1946 and Lee Nathaniel Ward, who died in March of 1977; son-in-law, Robert Gottschalk; and by brother, James Edenbo. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Lee Douglas "Doug" and Julia Ward of Westminster; daughter, Katherine Gottschalk of Deshler, OH; three siblings, Madeline Hartwig of VA, Josephine Comey of CA, and William Edenbo of FL; six grandchildren, Daphne Gottschalk, Kathy Diem, Brenda Gottschalk, Kim Phillips, Leslie Reid, and Theresa Ward; and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 2 at the funeral home with Rev Art Monroe, Jr. officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the
