FAWCETT, MARK RICHARD, age 58, a lifetime resident of Riva, Maryland died on July 3, 2014 after a brief but brave battle with cancer. Born October 31, 1955 in Alexandria, VA to his parents, the late William Edward Fawcett and Carrie Irene Clegg, Mark graduated from Southern High School in 1973. An electrician for 35 years, Mark worked for various electrical contractors in the Annapolis area including Bausum & Duckett, Anchor Electric, Latham Electric and Anne Arundel County Schools. Mark served in the US Navy on the USS Yarnell on a tour of duty in Africa during the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 14000 and Boy Scout Troop 455 Riva, MD. He enjoyed military genealogy and was a lover of music. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a brother, William Edward Fawcett, Jr. He will be deeply missed by his surviving brother and sisters, Edward Cohen of Upper Darby, PA; Ruby Custin of Miami, FL; Carole Byrd of New Market, MD; Betty Jean Sala of Bear, DE; Ruth Ann Wholahan of Palm Springs, CA and Gail Rogers of Wilmington, DE.
