David Joseph Hoffmann, 74, of Centreville, died July 23 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on June 23, 1940 in Elizabeth, NJ, to the late Joseph Francis and Virginia Elizabeth Hoffmann, Mr. Hoffmann was a graduate of the University of Toledo. He served in the U.S. Army and, after his honorable discharge, later retired from Arinc Research as an Engineer. He also Volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Hoffmann; three children, Jackie Hoffmann Speake of Lakeland, FL, Thomas David Hoffmann (Donna) of Littleton, CO, and Scott Joseph Hoffmann of Odenton; brother, Richard Hoffmann (Ellen)of Ellicott City; a sister, Judy Gallagher of Westfield, NJ; two grandchildren, Melanie Hoffmann and Nathan Hoffmann; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m.,Friday, August 1 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Centreville, where friends and family can visit beginning at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity Choptank, P.O.
