Robert Michael Vukovich, 70, of Odenton passed away at home August 9th. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, of 38 years; children Jeff Sykes (Meghan), Jacqueline Russell (William), and Joseph Vukovich (Kimberly); siblings Milo, William, Daniel, and Lorraine; eight grandchildren Jack, Caroline, Henry, Hunter, Maddie, Indigo, Hazel, and Violet; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear family and friends. Bob was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania November 29, 1943 to Milo and Corrine Vukovich. After serving 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, he graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and earned a Master's of Science from Johns Hopkins University. He worked for the National Security Agency, retiring after 33 years to work for Booz Allen Hamilton. Bob's great loves in life were his family, reading, and traveling. He considered himself a life-long learner and was an avid camper. He especially looked forward to the annual Vukovich family camping trip to Linn Run State Park in Pennsylvania with his siblings and their families. No matter where his unique travel adventures took him, Bob always included and loved the annual tradition of the summer vacation to Ocean City, Maryland with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
