Paul Joseph Brailer, 90, died November 28. Joseph served in the US Coast Guard for 21 years during World War II and retired as a Chief Petty Officer USCG/Air as a radio communications ALC - E-7. He was a member of the American Legion Post 40. He also had a second career as a manager of a gas station. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mescal E. (nee Harvey), brother Ambrose Brailer, and sisters, Elizabeth Barlow, Isabelle Wolfe and Lucy Motsay. He is survived by his son, Paul J. Brailer Jr.; three daughters, Laura G. Ryan, Jane V. Spillner and Susan A. Morris, brother, John Brailer; sister, Margaret Bailey; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family received friends at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie on Saturday, December 3. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
