BANGERT, PATRICIA CATHERINE of Catonsville, MD, beloved wife of Charles E. Bangert, woke to new life on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2013. She was 84 years old. Mrs. Bangert was born to the late Constance M. and William A. Miller in Steubenville, Ohio. She graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, PA in 1950 and worked as a Registered Nurse, specializing in pediatric and psychiatric care. Patricia and Charles were married on February 3, 1951. Early in their marriage, they moved to metropolitan Washington, DC, where they raised five children: Kathleen; Elaine, who preceded her mother in death; Charles, Jr.; Craig; and Philip. After retiring they moved to Arnold, MD, where they were active members of St. Andrews by the Bay Catholic Church. They served as long time co-chairs of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and supported many other parish charities. In 2000, St. Andrews presented them with the "Salt of the Earth, Light of the World" award. In 2004, they moved to the Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville. Their friendship and love for each other, their family, the Catholic Church and their multitude of friends served as the foundation for their nearly 63 year marriage. In addition to her husband and children, Mrs. Bangert is survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
