Bob was born in Chicago, Ill. in 1924. He grew up surrounded by grandparents and relatives in a loving atmosphere.
During World War II
he served in the U.S. Navy
on the USS Arided ship in the Pacific Ocean. He steered the ship.
He was the second of four sons, three of whom served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; and one who retired from the Air Force as a Lt. Colonel, serving during the Vietnam War
and becoming the second President of the Community College of the Air Force.
Bob attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, graduating in 1951. He was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. After school and moving to San Diego he became Owner/President of his own independent insurance adjustment bureau, a position he held for 30 years.
Bob passed on April 25, 2013. He enjoyed his family, friends, retirement, travels and life.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
