Virginia May Savage, age 74, passed away on October 19, 2012, at her home in Fallon, Nevada. She was born January 23, 1938, in Rahway, New Jersey, to Kenneth William Sr. and Marion Virginia Hagedorn Van Bramer, and had resided in Fallon for 11 years, coming from Poway, CA.|
Virginia worked as the executive secretary for the Poway Federation of Teachers. She was also a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fallon; the Fleet Reserve Auxiliary; and the Office and Professional Employees.
She is survived by her husband, Vincent of Fallon; sons, John (Sara) Koch of El Cajon, CA, Karl (Cindy) Koch of Elmira Heights, NY, Kenneth (Theresa) Koch of Ridgecrest, CA; daughter, Heidi (Duane) Linn of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jonna, Kendra, John Jr., Kori, Shontel, Taylor, Ingrid, Marissa, Brett, Erik, Emaleigh, Katherine and Julie; and great-grandchildren, Angela, Lanie, Aiden and Dallis.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, from 6-8 pm at the Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Dr., Fallon, NV. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at 11:00 am at St. Patrick's Church in Fallon. Visitation will also be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012, from 6-8 pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home in Edison, NJ. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012, at 11 am at the Hillside Cemetery in Plainfield, NJ.
