INDIAN LAND – Gary Drew Crabtree, 68, died Saturday, April 13, 2013.
He was born Jan. 28, 1945, in Humboldt, Tenn., the son of the late Clint Wilson Crabtree and Olive Genrose Reasons Crabtree. He was the husband of Mary Younce-Crabtree. Mr. Crabtree retired from Progress Energy, served our country in the U.S. Navy, and was of the Baptist faith. 
Mr. Crabtree is survived by his wife, Mary Younce-Crabtree of the home; a daughter, Katherine Younce and her husband, William, of Indian Land; a stepdaughter, Arlene Welsh and her husband, Peter, of Key West, Fla.; a stepdaughter-in-law, Nancy Wrisley of Deerfield, Mass.; two stepsons, Paul Wrisley Jr. of Greenfield, Mass., and Steven Wrisley and his wife, Pamela, of Vero Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Rance Crabtree and his wife, Dianne, of Lake Wales, Fla., and Zane Crabtree and his wife, Lourdes, of Odessa, Fla.; two sisters, Diane Jacobs and her husband, Alvin, of Bluffton and Faith Goins and her husband, Charles, of Lewisville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Bailee Drew Younce and Elizabeth Rylee Younce; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Crabtree was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Crabtree; and a stepson, Edward Wrisley.
The family of Mr. Crabtree will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Hartley Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, and suggest memorial contributions to , Lancaster County , 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
The graveside funeral service for Mr. Crabtree will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa, Tenn.
