Indian Land – Mr. Jim "Greasy" Collins, 84, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, at White Oak Manor in Lancaster.
Born in Waxhaw, N.C., he was a son of the late John and Laura Collins. Mr. Collins was owner and operator of Collins Plumbing and Heating in Indian Land. He was a U.S. Army veteran, former member of the Indian Land Fire Department and of the Presbyterian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Francis Collins; and sisters, Margie Laney and Lena Bennett.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Belair United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Larry Collins, Steve Jacks and Bennie Greene officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Belair United Methodist Church.
Mr. Collins is survived by his son, Bruce Collins and wife, Penny, of Indian Land; three daughters, Jeanette Howie and husband, Rick, Sara Killough and husband, Brian, and Vivian Pressley and husband, Mike, all of Indian Land; his brother, Larry Collins and wife, Debbie, of Lancaster; six sisters, Merle Helms and husband, Jack of Monroe, N.C., Becky Daniels and husband Bill of Kansas, Laura Kimbrell and husband Richard of Rock Hill, Blanche Vinson of Macon, Ga., Diane McBroome of Rock Hill and Zelda Ghent of Indian Land; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his pet dog, Molly.

At Mr. Collins' request, please dress in casual attire.
