Anthony W. Cox

Anthony Wayne Cox, 53, of Finksburg, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Nov. 14, 1960, in Takoma Park, he was the son of Shirley Tippett Auldridge, of Wheaton, and the late Robert T. Cox Sr. He was the husband of Susan D. Graham Cox.

He had worked as a commercial roofer. He enjoyed playing poker, collecting firearms, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, volunteering as a member of the Gamber & Community Volunteer Fire Department and especially spending time with his family.

He served in the Army from 1989-91. He was a member of LifePoint Church in Upperco.

Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are son and daughter-in-law Jason E. and Danielle Roberts, of Richmond, Va.; daughter and son-in-law Jessica Ann and Jerry Price, of Linthicum; stepsons Brian Neall and fiancee Mary Bomgardner, of Halethorpe, Andrew Neall, of Pasadena, and Christopher Neall and fiancee April Chapman, of Denton; stepdaughter and spouse Amy and Brent Nelson, of Pasadena; brothers and sister-in-law Robert T. Jr. and Lisa Cox, of Olney, and Joseph T. Cox, of Mount Airy; father-in-law and mother-in-law Dalton and Wilma Graham, of Kingsport, Tenn.; grandchildren Haley and Kaylen Roberts, Ashley and Skyler Price, and Payton Nelson; and nieces and nephews Steven, Nicole, Kenneth, Katelyn, Sydney and Joe.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until time of funeral service, 7 p.m. Wednesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Gamber & Community Fire Company, 3838 Niner Road, Finksburg, MD 21048.
