Antoinette Theresa Nelson, 69, of Owings Mills, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Futurecare Cherrywood Nursing Home in Reisterstown.
Born April 24, 1943, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Dominic DiStefano Sr. and Carmella Leana Manno DiStefano. She was the wife of Craig S. Nelson Sr., her husband of 43 years.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, camping and outdoor life. In her spare time, she was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children James Michael Crocker and wife Louise, and Morgan Davis Crocker and wife Kelly, all of Reisterstown, and Craig S. Nelson Jr., of Owings Mills; brother Anthony DiStefano Jr. and wife Wanda, of Hanover, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service, 11 a.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills. Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company, 10401 Owings Mills Blvd., Owings Mills, MD 21117.
