Betty C. Butler

Betty Cecil Butler, 70, of Taneytown, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at home after a brief illness.

Born May 21, 1943, in Baltimore County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha Stinnett. She was the wife of Larry Lavale Butler, of Union Bridge.

She enjoyed cooking, taking walks, going to amusement parks and spending time with her family. She was one of 16 siblings.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Valtrina Gloyd, of Taneytown; a son, Larry Butler Jr., of Union Bridge; grandchildren Timothy Butler and Anissa Gloyd; three sisters; and three brothers.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Thursday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge, with Clifford Smith, lay speaker of Strawbridge United Methodist Church in New Windsor, officiating.
