Born Nov. 15, 1938, in Sykesville, he was the only son of the late Tresa Linton Bower Boehl.

He was creative, mechanically and musically inclined. For the past eight months he enjoyed Thursday nights playing piano with a group known as "Just for Fun Band." He worked as a self-employed utility contractor, helping out friends and neighbors with his backhoe. His fee was to be paid in homemade pies, and peach was his favorite. More recently he was employed by Edrich Lumber Company in Randallstown.
