John W. Hill

John William Hill, 56, of Manchester, died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, in Taneytown.

Born Oct. 15, 1956, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James Fletcher and Berniece Isennock Hill.

He was a Marine Corps veteran. He was a tractor-trailer driver all of his life and was employed by Honey Locust in East Berlin, Pa.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and helping other people.

Surviving are children John Michael Jackson, of Halethorpe, and Ashley Michele Thrasher, of Wisconsin; a brother, James Hill, of Florida; an aunt, Sally Caudill, of Manchester; and a friend, Lynn Trankley, of Taneytown.

He was predeceased by a brother, Monroe Hill.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at Lazarus United Church of Christ Cemetery, South Church Street, Lineboro, with Chaplain Char Fowler officiating.

Arrangements are by Eckhardt Funeral Chapel in Manchester.
