Marie Anne "Marrianne" Fincham



Marie Anne "Marrianne" Fincham, 58, of Westminster, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born in Laurel, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Leakan and the late Barbara Leakan. She was the wife of Tom Fincham, her husband of 38 years.

She attended St. Mary's School through eighth grade. She was a 1973 graduate of Atholton High School. She worked at Gino's and McDonald's after high school before moving on to work at Rixon in Silver Spring. After leaving Rixon, she worked at the post office. She continued with the U.S. Postal Service, mainly in Savage, for more than 25 years, before retiring in the mid-2000s. After retiring from the post office, she started a Maltese breeding business.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter Melissa Blevins and husband Shawn; brothers Tony, Lex III, David Sr. and Jim Leakan; grandchildren Nick and Daniel Blevins; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday at St. Mary of The Mills Roman Catholic Church, 114 St. Mary's Place, Laurel.

Arrangements are by Donaldson Funeral Home in Laurel.
