Michael Leo Janac, 87, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at home.
Born Sept. 9, 1926, in Czechoslovakia, he was the son of the late Frank and Frances Blahova Janac. He was the husband of Lois Brown Janac, his wife of 44 years.
He was a veteran of the Army
and an accountant. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hagerstown and Monocacy Lodge 203 AF & AM.
He was the youngest of seven children.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Michael P. Janac and wife Anne, of Arnold; David M. Janac and wife Kathy, of Alexandria, Virginia, and Gary L. Janac and wife Kate, of Annapolis; grandchildren Alexa, Benjamin and Ian Janac; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 38 W. Baltimore St., Taneytown, with the Rev. Edward Heim officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
