Emil A. Chiarito

Emil A. Chiarito, 91, of Westminster died Thursday, December 25 at the Carroll Lutheran Village Health Care. Born October 9, 1923 in New York, New York he was the son of the late Theodore M. and Josephine Allamprese Chiarito. He was the loving husband of Alyce M. Johnson Chiarito, They had a loving marriage for 67 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering from Manhattan College of New York. He was an engineer for Baltimore Gas and Electric and retired in 1985. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as Past Grand Knight, Council #3960. He was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Randallstown, where he was a very active member, and a current member of St. John Catholic Church, Westminster, where he served as communicant. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking. Surviving in addition to his wife are children and spouses; Alan D. and Pilar Chiarito of Baltimore, Michael A. and Marylou Chiarito of Woodbridge, VA., Vincent P. and Susan Chiarito of Vicksburg, MS and daughter Joanna M. and James Castellano of Freehold, NJ; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11am to 12pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A Mass of Christian burial will be held, after visitation, at 12:30pm at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will be in Old Holy Family Cemetery, Randallstown.
