Ronald Evans Obituary

Ronald Joseph Evans Sr., 72, of Berlin, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011. He was born Sept. 5, 1939. He was the husband of Edith Runkles Evans, his wife of 51 years. He was a member of the Baltimore County Retired Fire Officers and Firefighters Association and of IAFF Local 1311. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Ronald J. Evans Jr. and wife Judith, of Catonsville, Dawn M. Nickoles and husband Charles "Bruzz," Mary Elizabeth and Lawrence Lamon, all of Westminster, Gregory D. Evans and wife Brenda, of Davidsonville, and Charles S. Evans and wife Jocelyn, of Millers; siblings Cecelia and Louis Murphy, Raymond Jr. and Deborah Evans, Dennis and Ingrid Evans, and Kathleen and Robert Miller; grandchildren Joshua, Casey and Anna Evans, Matthew and Melissa Nickoles, Lauren and Christopher Lamon, Colton Evans, Charlie, Ryan-Bryce and Jacob Evans; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Janet and Philip Orem Sr., Jane Runkles and Joseph and Mary Runkles; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home, 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark Church, 30 Melvin Ave., Catonsville. Interment will be in the New Cathedral Cemetery.
