Catherine Litzau Obituary

Catherine Caroline Litzau, 81, of Westminster, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House. Born July 31, 1929, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late August and Marie Barenshaub Wehrman. She was the wife of Paul Weber Litzau, who died in 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Hampstead Baptist Church. Surviving are children Paula Davis, of Westminster, Celeste Wentz, of Manchester, and Mark Litzau, of Spring Grove, Pa.; a sister, Eileen Lathrop, of Baltimore; grandchildren Angela Davis, Christopher Davis and Jesse Wentz; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Chris Brammer officiating. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157. Online condolences may be offered at www.prittsfuneralhome.com. Cass was a dear sweet friend to me and I will miss her but I know that I will be with her someday in Heaven. Rest in peace, dear lady.

Catherine was a sister in Christ that I
was privileged to know from our Sunday
School class at Hampstead Baptist. What
a delightful, joyful, and sweet person to
be around! I know she is rejoicing with
her Lord for all eternity. Will surely
miss her at HBC!
