Donald O. Garver, 70, of Hanover, Pa., died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Hanover Hospital in Hanover. Born Feb. 25, 1940, in Gamber, he was the son of the late Oswald B. Garver and M. Louise McKinney Garver-Perott. He was the husband of Jessie A. Gill Carlisle Garver, his wife of 49 years, who he married on Pearl Harbor Day. He was a self-employed transcontinental truck driver. He was a 40 year member of the Westminster Moose. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are stepchildren Brenda and husband John Bosley, of Pennsylvania, Billie Carlisle-Young and husband Steven Young, of Virginia; stepgrandchildren Jessica Parsley, Melissa Sturgeon, Grey and Kelsey Young; a step-great-grandchild, Addison Sturgeon; and siblings Edward Garver and wife Dottie, of Westminster, Bonnie Elms, of Parsons, W.Va., Gary Garver and wife Carol, of Taneytown. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Garver; and a stepson, Brent Carlisle. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service, 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery.
