Jeffrey Charles Gist, 46, of Westminster, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Born March 23, 1966, in Westminster, he was the son of Joan "Joann" Brothers Gist, of Westminster and the late Charles Richard Gist.
He was a 1984 graduate of Westminster High School. He was a mason and bricklayer who worked for Mercury Masonry and other businesses.
He enjoyed riding his Harley and being in the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He liked to work in his garden and collected model trains and airplanes. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, Jeffrey Charles Lach, of Hampton, Va.; a brother, L. Richard Gist, of Finksburg; a sister, Keli Houle, of Finksburg; grandsons Aedan, James and Daniel Lach; a friend, Rhonda Renehan; and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service, 10 a.m. Monday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Joe Duke of LifePoint Church officiating. Interment will be private.
