Launa McGoldrick Bevard, 76, of Manchester, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster. Born July 4, 1935, in Rutledge, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late A.J. and Ora McGoldrick. She was the wife of John Bevard, her husband of 54 years. She was a 1954 graduate of Rutledge High School. She worked for 36 years for the FBI in Washington, D.C., in the fingerprint section, and retired Dec. 31, 1990. She enjoyed duckpin bowling with the seniors and word searching. She made rosaries with rosary guild. She was a member and communicant at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church in Manchester. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Tim Williams; granddaughters Christine and Jennifer Williams; and brothers Jack, Ed, and Ted McGoldrick, all of Rutledge, Tenn. She was predeceased by a daughter, Karon Mortimer. A Memorial Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 3071 Park Ave., Manchester, with the Rev. Fr. Michael Roach as celebrant. A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel in Manchester. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, attn: Building Fund, P.O. 448, Manchester, MD 21102.
