Lorraine Harbaugh Muse, 84, of Westminster, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Carroll Hospital Center, after a long battle with heart disease.

Born Nov. 17, 1929, in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Ezra W. and Mary Newman Harbaugh. She was the wife of C. Thomas Muse, her husband of 59 years who died June 18, 2007.

She was a 1946 graduate of Westminster High School and a graduate of Baltimore Business College. She was a life member of Grace Lutheran Church, and of the Just Two and XYZ groups.

She was an avid knitter for many years, donating many articles to charities through the Carroll County Needlecrafters and Lydia Circle at the church.

Surviving are daughters Catherine Muse Ortega and husband Ted, of Pueblo, Colo., and Ginnie Schoenberger and husband Glenn, of Westminster; a sister, Grace Senseney, of Montana; grandsons Corey and Scott Schoenberger, of Hanover, Pa.; and great-grandchildren Mia Brooke and Hannah Reese Schoenberger, of Hanover.

She was predeceased by a sister, Miriam Harbaugh; and an infant brother, Richard Harbaugh.

There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Westminster Fire Department, 28 John St., Westminster, MD 21157.
