Mae Belle McKinney, 80, of Westminster, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at home.

Born Nov. 15, 1932, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late David W. Hooper and Addie Waddell Hooper. She was the wife of Billy A.T. McKinney.

Before retiring, she worked at Springfield State Hospital. She was a life member of the VFW Molleville Farm Post No. 467 Ladies Auxiliary and life member of the American Legion Carroll Post No. 31 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed singing, playing cards, and going to the casino.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children and spouses Brenda Bellew, Sharon Ringley, Steve Snyder and wife Shelia, Larry Snyder and wife Edy, and Kim Cook and husband Jeff, all of Westminster, Linda Thompson, of Littlestown, Pa., Karen Standifer and husband Norman, of Sykesville, and Mark McKinney and wife Deb, of Lancaster, Pa.; sisters Helen Dellospedale, of Westminster, and Shirley Kloss, of New Oxford, Pa.; brothers Herman Hooper, of Hampstead, and Donald Hooper, of Easton, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by siblings Thelma McClelland, Mildred Colson, Frank, Bill and Cliff Hooper, Loretta "Tip" Shaeffer, Nettie "Mandy" Shaeffer and Ralph Waddell.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St. Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Andrew Reisberg, pastor of Frizzellburg Bible Church, officiating. Interment will be in Bethany Cemetery.
