Nancy Baker Gonder, 75, of Taneytown, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson.
Born April 16, 1937, in Taneytown, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Mildred Deberry Baker. She was the wife of the late John F. Gonder Jr., her husband of 40 years.
She worked in the accounting department of the Cambridge Rubber Company in Taneytown and Ingersoll-Dressing Pump Company, also in Taneytown. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown, the Taneytown American Legion Hesson-Snider Post 120 Ladies Auxiliary and the Harney VFW
She enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing bingo, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are son Tim Gonder and wife Claire, of Timonium; and grandchildren Paige and Wyatt Gonder.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steven Ostendorf-Snell officiating. Interment will follow at Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery.
