The Rev. Robert Louis Bartlett III, 54, of Westminster, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Nov. 15, 1958, in Pasadena, Calif., he was the son of Robert Louis Bartlett Jr., of Virginia Beach, Va., and Thelma Maybelle Huth, of Peachtree City, Ga. He was the husband of Katherine L. Sayers Bartlett, his wife of 32 years.

He was a graduate of Lancaster Bible College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He served as associate pastor at Manchester Baptist Church, a pastor at SEEDS Bible Fellowship and a co-pastor at Alesia Free Methodist Church in Millers. He was a leader of Campus Life at North Carroll Middle School, where he was also a permanent substitute teacher. He and his wife were foster parents through Baptist Family and Children's Services.

He enjoyed discipling others and was a fan of the Baltimore Ravens.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are daughters and sons-in-law Melody and David Burkhart, of Denver, Pa., and Angela and William Folk of York, Pa.; sons and daughter-in-law Michael Brooks and Jenna Bartlett, of Stewartstown, Pa., Michael Roberts, of Essex, Lucas Roberts, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Matthew Bartlett and Michael Paul Bartlett, both of Westminster; a grandson, Dominik Burkhart; and sisters Robin Bartlett Frazier, of Taneytown, and Cheri Ahmadinia, of Peachtree City.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Earl Gray Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Alesia Free Methodist Cemetery in Millers.
