Sharon Elisabeth Follin "Mimi" Lomax, 71, of the Carroll Vista community in Taneytown, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.
Born Sept. 23, 1941, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Archie and Audrey Groves Follin.
She was formerly a computer programmer for the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards and bingo, visiting casinos, working crossword puzzles and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid reader.
Surviving are daughter Shannon Fuller and husband Greg, of Ellicott City; a son, Scott Lomax, of Bethesda; sister Gail Dood and husband Ken, of Arlington, Va.; and grandchildren, Trent, Peyton and Abigail Fuller.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service, 3 p.m. Wednesday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown.
