Vergie M. Crouch, 95, of Westminster, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center.
Born Sept. 1, 1917, in Damascus, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Mollie Eva Mullinix. She was the wife of Clayton G. Crouch, who died in February 2005.
She became a registered nurse in 1939 at Union Memorial Hospital and worked as a private duty nurse. She retired as a nursing supervisor from Keswick in Baltimore.
She was a member of Loch Raven United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, keeping up with current events and spending time with family.
Surviving are daughter Sandra C. Schroeder and husband Richard, of Westerville, Ohio; son John C. Crouch and wife Christine, of Manchester; and grandchildren Dana L. Schroeder, of Ohio, and John C. Crouch Jr., of Baltimore.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Carroll Lutheran Village Krug Chapel, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, with the Rev. Ralf Nies officiating.
