Thelma Lee Walker Rash, 84, of Finksburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Lorien Nursing Home in Mount Airy, following a lengthy illness.

Born Feb. 25, 1929, in Milburn, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Effie Woodson Walker. She was the wife of John Royston Rash, her husband of 63 years.

She had retired from the federal government as a budget analyst. She had also been a member of the Eastern Star in Germany. She enjoyed trips to Ocean City and spending time with family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons John Steven Rash, Galen Keith Rash and wife Ramona, and Craig Timothy Rash; a sister, Peggy Brauning; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Bennie C. Walker.

Funeral services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the .
