Barbara Marie Zink, 53, of Westminster, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Oct. 2, 1960, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Otto and Norma Berger Klier, of Eldersburg. She was the wife of George Robert "Rob" Zink, whom she married March 26, 1986.

She was a graduate of College of Notre Dame of Maryland and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster, where she was active with the St. Vincent de Paul Society Soup Kitchen.

She enjoyed nature, especially feeding birds and animals. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, playing Bunko and flower gardening. She was very religious. She was an avid reader and was part of the neighborhood book club.

Surviving, in addition to her parents and husband, are twin children Natalie Marie and Andrew Robert Zink, both of Westminster; brothers Paul Klier, of Florida, and Anthony Klier, of North Carolina; father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Theresa Zink, of Littlestown, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Deborah Ann Zink, of Westminster; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, where a Christian wake will be held at 6 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Friday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with the Rev. John Lesnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Vincent de Paul Society Soup Kitchen, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, MD 21157.
