Betty June Bapisteller, 89, of Baltimore, died peacefully Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her son's home in Taneytown. Born February 4, 1925 in Benton, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Margaret Nelson Stewart. She was the wife of George Bapisteller, her husband of 46 years who died in 1992.
Betty was a cashier for the Giant Food Store at Ingleside Shopping Center in Baltimore for 30 years. She loved animals, flowers and spending time with family. She enjoyed watching Baltimore Orioles baseball, cutting coupons, shopping and camping.
Surviving are son Stevan Bapisteller and wife Kristine, of Taneytown; sister Naomi Weitz, of Frederick; grandsons Christopher Bapisteller, of Baltimore, Jake Bapisteller and wife Genie, of Glen Burnie, and Mathew Ebaugh and wife Kelly, of Westminster; great-grandchildren Blake Bapisteller, and Tiffany and Megan Ebaugh; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by son, Richard Bapisteller, and siblings Bill Stewart, Dorothy Sparks, Joanne Blankenbeckler and Donna Moore.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 31 at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.
