Mary Frances Shinaberry Crone, 85, of Taylorsville, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Columbia.

Born March 5, 1929, in Marlinton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harman Shinaberry and the late Hattie Mullens Shinaberry. She was the wife of the late Paul Compton Crone.

She was a meat wrapper for Giant Food and a member of Taylorsville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed dancing.

Surviving are a daughter, Connie Burgoon, of Eldersburg; siblings Betty Sharp and Junior and Jimmy Lee Shinaberry; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by a son, Ernie Lee Crone; and a sister, Sarah Nelson.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Monday at Oakland United Methodist Church, 5901 Mineral Hill Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. Donna L. Renn officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Gilchrist Hospice Care, c/o Charity Fund, 5537 Twin Knolls Road, Suite 434, Columbia, MD 21045.

Arrangements are by Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory in Sykesville.
