Isabelle Frederick Davidson, 91, of Manchester, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.
Born Jan. 3, 1923, in Hampstead, she was the daughter of Charles V. and Cora B. McCullough Frederick. She was the wife of Elmer E. Davidson, who died in 2002.
She retired from Dutterer's of Manchester and was a very active member of the North Carroll Senior Center, where she served on the council.
Her hobby of ceramics won her many ribbons at the Carroll County Fair. She always enjoyed helping her neighbor, Stanley Martin, refurbish old trunks. She was also a lifetime member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Manchester.
Surviving are son Robert Davidson and wife Lynne, of Manchester; daughter Linda and husband Stanley Hamilton, of Manchester; grandchildren Elizabeth and Harold Lessner, Brian and Tracey Davidson, Jeffrey and Anita Davidson, Micki and John Auten, Craig and Veronica Davidson, and Douglas and Debbie Hamilton; great-grandchildren Christopher, Courtney, Abigail, Lauren, Emily, Andrew and Miriam; step-grandsons Bill and Michael; step great-grandchildren Jonah, McKynlee, William and Harper; and siblings Elizabeth Hershey, of New Oxford, Pennsylvania, and John Frederick Sr., of Hanover, Pennsylvania.
She was predeceased by a son, Larry "Skip" Davidson; and siblings Jacob Frederick, Mary Frederick and Dorothy Riffle.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 3, and from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service, 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, with the Rev. Dr. Suzanne Adele Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery in Manchester.
