Joseph A. Chinery Jr., 61, of Westminster, died Wednesday evening, May 21, 2014, at Carroll Hospital Center.
Born April 16, 1953, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph A. Chinery Sr. and Eleanor C. Larson Chinery.
He was a driver for various trucking companies, most recently St. Johnsbury Trucking. He enjoyed nature, being on the road, experiencing different parts of the country and sharing what he learned along life's way with anyone who would listen. He enjoyed tinkering with things and repairing whatever was broken. He was known to always look on the positive side of life.
Surviving are sisters and spouses Susanne and Emmanouil Agniadis, and Carol Ann and Frank Passarello, all of Westminster, and Donna and George Neumeister, of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania; brothers and spouses Henry and Martha Chinery, of Sykesville, David and Vicki Chinery, of Stewartstown, and Devin P. Chinery, of Frederick; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Michael F. Chinery, who died in 2002.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the time of service, noon Wednesday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster. Interment will be private.
