Carol Ann Pritchard, 69, of New Windsor, died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Jan. 7, 1945, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. Parker and Margaret Schollian Ammer. She was the wife of Jesse Howard Pritchard, who died in 1981.

Known to many as "Miss Carol," she dedicated more than 35 years ministering to children through Good News clubs and vacation Bible schools, at her home and numerous elementary schools and churches.

She enjoyed being a part of the beginning of many marriages through her business, Carol's Custom Dressmaking and Alterations. She liked spending time with her five grandsons, long car trips with her friend Mysty Olmstead, walks on the beach, and the fellowship of her friends from Crosslife Bible Church.

Surviving are children Susan Moss, of Albany, Georgia, Andrew Pritchard and spouse Cherlyn, of Northport, Florida, and Ann Marie Ferretti, of Westminster; brothers and sisters-in-law Bob and Connie Parker, of Key Largo, Florida, Earl and Margie Ammer, of Ocala, Florida, and Neil and Barbara Ammer, of Ocala, Florida; grandsons Reuben, Daniel and Jonny Moss, and Nick and Ben Ferretti; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of a memorial service, 11 a.m. Thursday at Crosslife Bible Church, 2127 W. Old Liberty Road, Westminster, with the Rev. M. Quintin Merson officiating. Interment will be private in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Crosslife Bible Church, 2127 W. Old Liberty Road, Westminster, MD 21157.
