David Anthony Wean, 28, of Westminster, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 1, 2014, at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Born Oct. 1, 1985, in Westminster, he was the son of David Allen and Lora Leonard Wean, of Westminster.
He was a 2004 graduate of Westminster High School, and was of the Baptist faith. He was an electrician for Powered Perfect. He was an avid motocross racer and had just signed with a sponsor. He enjoyed spending time with his children and fishing.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are children Devin Adam Wean, of Hampstead, and Raina Isabelle Wean, of Finksburg; a brother, Justin Allen Wean, of Westminster; grandparents Margaret and Richard Leonard Sr., of Finksburg; aunts and uncles Gail Wean Long and husband Stanley, Jean Wean Thompson and husband Charles, Stanley W. Wean Jr., Cheryl Collins, Richard Leonard Sr. and wife Pat, Jeffrey Leonard, Leslie Cook and Deana Leonard; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Adam Nicholas Wean, July 24, 2004; grandparents Stanley W. Wean Sr. and Marie Camille Wean; an uncle, James M. Wean; and an aunt, Carolyn Marie Wean.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Steen, of Westminster Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in St. John (Leisters) Church Cemetery.
