Naomi May Bare, 91, of Westminster, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at home.
Born Aug. 3, 1922, in Millers, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Elizabeth Weiss Hare. She was the wife of Charles W. Bare, who died in 1988.
Early in her married life, she and her husband were dairy farmers. She worked as a seamstress for Avenue Tailors in Westminster for many years. She attended Wakefield Valley Bible Church in New Windsor. She loved dogs and cats, growing roses and enjoyed collecting antique dishes. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible and Guideposts magazine.
Surviving are children Darlene Snyder and husband Thomas Snyder, Diane Byers and husband Jesse, and J. Galen Bare and wife Cindy, all of Westminster; a sister, Marie Miller, of Hanover, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Todd Snyder and wife Tammie, of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, and Meagan Byers, of Westminster; and great-grandchildren Lindsay, Tyler and Abby Snyder and Johnathon Byers.
She was predeceased by a brother who died in childhood.
Graveside services in Meadow Branch Cemetery are private.
