Lucille Kohler Wells Parrish, 99, formerly of Woodbine, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at Indian Oaks Living Center in Harker Heights, Texas.
Born Aug. 29, 1914, in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Hezekiah Wells and the late Grace Saville Kohler Wells. She was the wife of the late Joseph Parrish Sr.
She was a homemaker and worked for Prince George's County, helping with seniors. She was a Methodist lay leader and mission worker and a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are son Joseph Parrish Jr. and wife Fay, of Kileen, Texas; grandchildren Troy Parrish and wife Belinda, Timothy Parrish and wife Maria, Terry Parrish and wife Kristel, Thomas E. Parrish Jr. and wife Heather, and Cindy Cooke and husband Eric; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Parrish; numerous great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Earl Parrish Sr.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Mr. Troy Parrish officiating. Interment will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
