Robert Boyd Fowler, 71, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, died Friday, June 13, 2014, at the Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Born March 7, 1943, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Edgar B. and Hazel Nelson Fowler. He was the husband of Marilyn Basgall Fowler, of Gettysburg, his wife of 50 years, celebrating their anniversary in November.
He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving his country for eight years. He earned a bachelor's degree from Towson State University. He was the owner of the Badge Factory for 21 years and previously worked at Black & Decker for 15 years in the data processing department.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters Kimberly Lednum, of Gettysburg, and Sonja Schmidt, of Glenville, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Nichole Taylor, Aimee Eckard, Gregory Schmidt, Christopher Lednum, Elizabeth Schmidt and Samantha Lednum; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Fowler, of Bel Air.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service, 11 a.m. Thursday at Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
