Nannie Marie Turfle, 73, of Westminster, died Saturday July 5, 2014 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born May 22, 1941 in Millers, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Whitson Hill. She was a retired secretary for AEG Environmental. She was a 1959 graduate of North Carroll High School and was involved in the class reunion committee. She enjoyed watching sports and was a fan of the Orioles and Ravens, country music and watching her grandchildren play sports. She is survived by her children Jeffry Turfle and wife Susan of Westminster, and Jena Rinehart and husband Bryan of Taneytown; her brother Arnold Hill of West Virginia; her grandchildren Bradley and Haley Turfle, Brett Rinehart and Kayla Rinehart Windsor and husband Dallas; her great-grandchildren Carter and Connor Windsor. She was predeceased by her siblings Ora Wolf, Joyce Franklin, Martha Yelton, Esther Lee Ibex, Claude, Bunt, and George Hill. Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD on Wednesday at 1:00pm with the Rev. Melvina Stricklin officiating. Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Westminster VFW, Post 467, 519 Poole Rd, Westminster, MD 21157.
