Hampstead Reid G. Taylor, 63, of Hanover, Pa., formerly of Hampstead, died Friday, March 4, 2011, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Born April 16, 1947, in Baltimore, he was the son of Doris Barnes Taylor, of Middle River, and the late Reid G. Taylor. He was the husband of Kathleen Creegan Taylor. He was a graduate of Kenwood High School. Prior to retirement, he was the owner and operator of Manchester Contractors, a local concrete construction firm. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Hamilton and had marched with the White Knights drum and bugle corps and the Yankee Rebels. He was a communicant of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Manchester. Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are sons and daughter-in-law Shawn P. and Kelly Taylor, of Glen Rock, Pa., and James W. Taylor, of Westminster; daughter and son-in-law Colleen M. and James Francisco, of Glen Rock; a granddaughter, Brianna Taylor; grandsons Carter Taylor and Jaxson Francisco; and sisters Doris Smith, of Florida, and Patricia Uchenick, of Middle River. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, with his pastor, the Rev. Michael Roach, as celebrant.
