Gladys Virginia Fuhrman, 85, of Hampstead, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Hanover Hall Nursing Home in Hanover, Pa. Born Sept. 21, 1925, in Arcadia, she was the daughter of the late William Sr. and Goldie Shaffer Hampt. She was the wife of Walter P. Fuhrman, who died in 2001. She had been a secretary at Black & Decker before retiring. She was a member of the former Pleasant Hill Chapel. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, shopping and playing bingo. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Betsy L. and Larry Ensor, of Hampstead; a son-in-law, Wilson Blizzard Sr., of Chincoteague, Va.; grandchildren Stacey Cabral, of Hampstead, and Katie Redding and David Ensor, both of Upperco; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughters Mildred A. Blizzard and Judith M. Fuhrman; brothers Donald Hampt and William Hampt Jr.; a sister, Margaret Harford; grandchildren R. Dennis Brickerd Jr. and Wilson "Whipper" Blizzard; and a great-grandson, Brandon Blizzard-Mayne. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Reid Robinette officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
