LuRay Boerner Leppo, 86, of Hanover, Pa., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover.

Born Sept. 4, 1926, in Trenton, she was the daughter of the late William and Verna Ray Shaffer Boerner. She was the wife of Charles G. Leppo, her husband of 66 years.

She had worked at Beacon Steel, Hampstead Sewing Factory and retired from Random House.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Snydersburg, past member of Hillsdale Homemakers and member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 200 in Hampstead.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters and sons-in-law Carolyn and Tom Gordon, of Westminster, Donna and Larry Sharp, of Harrisburg, Pa., and Gina and Russell Beeg, of Reno, Nev.; a brother, J. Edgar Boerner, of Manchester; grandchildren Tom Gordon III, Carrie Goughneour, Christopher Serio, Carly Beeg, Jack Beeg, Barbara Sharp Moore and John Sharp; and great-grandchildren Madelyne and Christopher Moore.

She was predeceased by siblings H. LaRue Boog, Violet L. Lippy and William Sterling Boerner.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster; from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1616 Cape Horn Road, Hampstead, with the Rev. Michael Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Snydersburg Cemetery.
