Rose Anne Broadwater, 59, of Taneytown, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at home.
Born Oct. 16, 1953, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Clinton Broadwater and Margaret Mary Dreyer Abernethy.
She was a hair stylist and licensed cosmetologist for seven years, and a bookkeeper and accountant up until the time of her passing. She completed her associate's degree in accounting at Carroll Community College in Westminster and was pursuing her bachelor's degree at DeVry University.
She was a member of the Eldersburg Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She had enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, sewing and education.
Surviving are daughters Juliet Flanary, of New Windsor, Raechelle Embrey and husband Eric Boger, of Fairfield, Pa., and Tanya Embrey, of Taneytown; grandchildren Zeke and Owen Flanary, and Jayden Page; sisters Barbara Best, of West Virginia, Katrina Garry, of Woodsboro, and Lesa Crown, of South Carolina; a brother, Michael Broadwater, of Mount Airy; nine nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date to be held at the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses in Eldersburg. Interment will be private.
