Lula May Gardner Fitzberger, 80, of Sykesville, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at John Hopkins-Bay View in Baltimore.

Born Sept. 3, 1932, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John Oscar Gardner and the late Louise Augusta Shade Gardner. She was the wife of John E. "Jack" Fitzberger.

She was a housewife. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics and needlepoint.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children Stephen Fitzberger, of Catonsville and David Fitzberger, of North Carolina; a brother, John Oscar Gardner, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Randallstown; and grandchildren Joshua, Grant, Casey and Jonathan Fitzberger.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Dr. C. Harry Causey, of Covenant Fellowship in Ellicott City officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park
