Betty Shelton Wallin, 85, of Taneytown, died Friday, July 26, 2013, at Shepherd's Glen.
Born March 4, 1928, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Simon P. and Ethel Shelton. She was the wife of Carol E. Wallin, who died July 2, 2012.
She was a high school graduate. She was a practical nurse and was retired from Spring Grove State Hospital in Catonsville.
She was a member of Littlestown VFW
Ladies Aux. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are children Emma Connelly and husband Robert, of Berryville, Va., Barbara Brown, of Littlestown, Pa., Carroll Wallin and wife Virginia, of Linthicum, and David Wallin and wife Sally, of Hanover, Pa.; grandchildren Lori Tamburo, Lisa Degitz, Shawn Brown, Nick Wallin, Paul Wooton, Charlie Wallin, Jeremy Gruss and Michele and Matthew Connelly; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Corby, of Tennessee; and a brother, Huvel Shelton, of Tennessee.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Gruss; a son-in-law, Calvin D. Brown; and brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Little's Funeral Home, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Timothy J. Kielley, of New Hope Faith Community Church in Littlestown, officiating. Interment is in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
